The parent brand of Hollister and Co. and Gilly Hicks, Abercrombie & Fitch Co., has shown a vote of confidence in Liverpool ONE by opening a new store at the retail destination.
The new store, opening in the summer of 2023, will bring both Gilly Hicks and Hollister under one roof for the first time in the city of Liverpool. The prototype combined space will be located on South John Street.
Rob Deacon, Senior Asset Manager at Grosvenor, commented: “It is fantastic to see Hollister reaffirm its commitment to Liverpool ONE by moving into a newer space, as well as introducing its sub-brand, Gilly Hicks.
“This deal is a testament to the momentum we are continuing to build at the destination and is particularly exciting given the new space will be one of the first model stores in Europe. We look forward to seeing the store open and feel confident it will be a hit with Liverpool ONE’s visitors.”
This news follows a successful 2022 for Liverpool ONE, with 36 brands signed, opened, or renewed over the course of the year. A few spotlight brands include M&S, Charlotte Tilbury, Cricket, Under Armour, and Bershka.
The shopping centre also exceeded UK footfall benchmarks by 19%, welcoming over 22 million visitors to the destination in 2022 and boasting a 14.5% increase in sales compared to 2019 (pre-covid).
